Welcome to Reefability! These terms and conditions outline the rules and regulations for the use of Reefability's website and services. By accessing this website and using our services, we assume you accept these terms and conditions. Do not continue to use Reefability if you do not agree to all of the terms and conditions stated on this page.

Definitions

"Website" refers to Reefability's website and any related applications or services.
"We," "Us," and "Our" refer to Reefability.
"User," "You," and "Your" refer to you, the person using our website and services.
"Services" refers to all features, functionalities, and services provided through Reefability.
"Content" refers to all information, data, text, software, music, sound, photographs, graphics, video, messages, or other materials.

Use of Our Services

Eligibility

To use our services, you must be at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement. By using our services, you represent and warrant that you meet these eligibility requirements.

Account Registration

To access certain features of our website, you may be required to create an account. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete information during registration
  • Maintain the accuracy of such information
  • Keep your account credentials confidential
  • Be responsible for all activities under your account
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access

Subscription Plans and Payment Terms

Payment Terms

  • Subscription fees are billed according to your chosen plan (monthly, annually, etc.)

Auto-Renewal

  • Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled
  • Renewal occurs at the then-current rate
  • Notice will be sent before renewal
  • You can manage subscriptions through your account settings

In-App Purchases

  • Additional features may be available through in-app purchases
  • All purchases are final unless otherwise required by law
  • Purchases are processed through platform providers (e.g., Apple App Store, Google Play)
  • Platform providers' terms and conditions apply to purchases

Promotions

60 Days Free on Premium Monthly

Added October 7, 2026

New members can try the Premium monthly plan free for 60 days. Premium is the plan with every section of the app, without connected controllers.

  • Who can use it: new members only, one free trial per person. On the App Store, the offer is available if you have not used a free trial or introductory offer on any Reefability subscription before. On Google Play, it is available if you have never had the Premium monthly subscription. On our website, one free trial per person and email address.
  • Free period: 60 days. On the App Store the free period is 2 months, because Apple offers trial lengths in months.
  • Offer period: available to new sign-ups from October 6, 2026 through September 15, 2027 (end of day, US Pacific time). We may change or end the offer earlier. A change does not affect free trials that have already started.
  • After the free period: a valid payment method is required to start the trial. When the free period ends, the subscription renews automatically at the Premium monthly price, $9.99 USD a month in the United States (local prices and taxes vary), unless you cancel before the free period ends. On the App Store and Google Play, cancel at least 24 hours before the free period ends.
  • How to cancel: in your App Store or Google Play subscription settings, or, for a subscription started on our website, through the billing portal linked in your welcome email. If you cancel during the free period, you will not be charged and Premium stays available until the free period ends.
  • Not included: annual plans, Premium with connected controllers, partner promotions and gifted access. The offer cannot be combined with other promotions.

User Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Violate any laws or regulations
  • Infringe upon others' rights
  • Disrupt or interfere with the service
  • Upload malicious content or malware
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access
  • Use the service for unauthorized commercial purposes

Intellectual Property

Ownership

  • All content, design, and code are Reefability's intellectual property
  • You may not reproduce or create derivative works without permission
  • Our trademarks and trade dress are protected

Your Content

"Your Content" means the photographs, videos, voice notes, notes, measurements and other material you upload to or create in Reefability.

  • You keep ownership of Your Content. Nothing in these terms transfers it to us.
  • You grant Reefability a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, adapt (for example crop, resize or translate), display and distribute Your Content for the purposes of operating, maintaining and improving our services, and for research that improves them, such as measuring and improving how accurately the app identifies pests, diseases and livestock.
  • This licence includes showing photographs you upload as reference examples inside our services, for example in the pest and issue library that other users see. When we do this we do not show your name, username, email address or tank name with the photograph, and we remove location and device information embedded in the file.
  • We do not sell Your Content, and we do not use it in advertising without asking you first.
  • You can ask us at any time to stop using a photograph as a reference example by emailing ai@reefability.com. We will remove it from the library within 30 days. Deleting your account ends this licence for Your Content, except for copies that have already been anonymised and combined with other data, and backups that are deleted on their normal schedule.
  • You confirm that you have the right to upload Your Content and that it does not infringe anyone else's rights. Do not upload photographs in which a person can be identified.
  • This section applies to content you upload on or after the "Last Updated" date above. For photographs uploaded before that date, we ask for your permission before showing them to other users.

Privacy and Data Protection

Your use is also governed by our Privacy Policy. We collect and process data in accordance with:

  • Applicable privacy laws
  • Our stated privacy practices
  • Industry standards for data protection

Service Modifications and Updates

Updates

  • We may update the service periodically
  • Updates may be required to continue using the service
  • We'll provide notice of significant changes
  • Platform-specific update requirements may apply

Disclaimers and Warranties

  • No guarantee of uninterrupted service

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Reefability shall not be liable for:

  • Service interruptions

  • Technical malfunctions

Changes to Terms

  • Changes become effective upon posting
  • Continued use indicates acceptance
  • Notice will be provided for material changes

Governing Law

These terms are governed by Oregon law. You agree to submit to exclusive jurisdiction in Oregon courts.
