HOME ASSISTANT

Your reef, in your smart home.

Show your readings, ideal ranges, alerts and tasks on your Home Assistant dashboards, use them in automations, and send Home Assistant sensors back to Reefability.

Coming soonThe Home Assistant connection is rolling out in the Reefability app. When it reaches your account, More > Home Assistant appears in the app and you can follow the steps below.
1

Install the integration

You need HACS in Home Assistant.

  1. Open HACS and search for Reefability.
  2. Not listed yet? Open the menu (three dots), then Custom repositories, add this address with the type Integration, and search again.https://github.com/Reefability/reefability-homeassistant
  3. Download it and restart Home Assistant.
2

Connect your account

  1. In the Reefability app open More, then Home Assistant, then Create a token, and copy it. It is shown only once.
  2. In Home Assistant open Settings, Devices & services, Add integration, pick Reefability and paste the token.

Each tank appears as a device and refreshes every 5 minutes. You can remove the token in the app at any time.

3

Send sensors to Reefability optional

Open Settings, Devices & services, Reefability, Configure. Pick the tank, then the sensors to send: tank probes (temperature, salinity, pH, ORP, alkalinity and more), room temperature, humidity and CO2, and leak sensors. Units are converted for you, and a wet leak sensor sends you an urgent push.

Ideas to start with

Entity names follow your tank names, so change them to match yours.
